The Ultimate Guide to Buying Oasis Tickets Online – Tips for Ireland

Right. Every website in Ireland and the UK right now is trying to find a content angle to talk to you about Oasis. Mine is going to be quite obvious. I’m going to actually help you buy tickets. With this ultimate guide to buying Oasis tickets, I promise at least one tip you’ve not thought of before to maximise your chances of seeing Oasis play at Croke Park.

It’s sale day. Here’s the latest on Ticketmaster’s technical issues.

When are Oasis Tickets on Sale?

The first thing you have to know is when the tickets are actually on sale. Oasis will be playing two nights at Croke Park on 16th and 17th August 2025. More importantly, tickets go on sale this Saturday, 31st August 2024.

There was some confusion online with the initial announcement post, caused by the used of Irish Standard Time (IST) and British Standard Time (BST). This was likely to avoid the annoyance of Ireland being classed under BST. However the confusion stemmed from these time zones being effectively the same and tickets going on sale in Ireland an hour earlier than the UK.

Ultimately, you need to be ready before 8am in Ireland to get your Oasis tickets. I mean that. You’d want to be logged into your Ticketmaster account well before 8am. I’d recommend 7.45am at the latest, but really – I’d recommend 7.30am.

Let’s focus a little on prepping that Ticketmaster account actually.

Getting Your Ticketmaster Account Ready

Not everyone is in Ticketmaster all the regularly which means spending some time getting the account up to date is very much worth it.

Log In to Your Ticketmaster Account

The first step to getting your Ticketmaster account ready is to log in. Given Ticketmaster was hacked recently I hope you changed your password. Regardless, getting logged in today, well in advance of buying tickets is a solid start to getting your Ticketmaster account ready for Saturday.

I know at least someone out there won’t have bought concerts tickets since Slane in 2009 and buying tickets has changed a lot since then. But ensuring you can actually access your Ticketmaster account is half the battle.

Add Your Payment Card to Ticketmaster

This is one for everyone, but particularly if you’re not a regular concert goer. Make sure you have a valid payment card in Ticketmaster.

  • Once logged in, click on your name or the “My Account” option at the top of the page to access your account settings.
  • In your account settings, look for the “Payment Options” or “Payment Methods” section. This is where you can view and manage your saved payment cards.
  • Click on “Add New Card” or a similar option to add a new payment method.
  • Enter your card details, including the card number, expiration date, CVV (the three-digit code on the back of your card), and billing address.
  • Make sure all information is correct and up-to-date.

If this is your primary card, you can select the option to make it your default payment method for future purchases. You can also delete any older cards to avoid confusion on Saturday morning.

Finally, save your changes.

Is the Ticketmaster Website Better than the Ticketmaster App?

When it comes to a pressure purchase, I always go website over app. But I’m an elder millennial who also things desktop or laptop is needed for “the big purchases”. Come Saturday the ultimate strategy is to have both options in front of you; website and app.

Let’s look more closely at this particular area.

Use Multiple Devices, Browsers but NOT TABS

I’ve seen some pretty nonchalant recommendations from others saying to use multiple tabs. This is my big recommendation from this guide; DO NOT USE MULTIPLE TABS IN THE SAME BROWSER.

I never shout on Goosed.ie, but there – I just did.

Using multiple tabs can confuse Ticketmaster.ie badly and could result in you losing your spot. My hierarchy here is to use multiple devices first. Think Ticketmaster.ie on your laptop, while having the Ticketmaster app on your phone or tablet. I personally like to keep my phone out of things in case I have to receive a verification code or Revolut validation. It’s unlikely, but that too could cost me my place in the queue for Oasis tickets.

If you cannot use multiple devices, then use different browsers. Use Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari and, yes I’m going to say it, even Edge. But do not use multiple tabs. You’re looking for trouble.

If you’re booking tickets for Oasis at Croke Park, remember there are two possible nights at least that they will play. To increase your chances of going, you should be willing to go either night and be ready to buy either night. Factor this into having your browsers ready.

The best thing to do is have both links to both events saved into Notepad or Excel, ready to go.

Oasis Ticket Sales Sunday 17th August 2025

Do check these as you get set up on Saturday morning because Ticketmaster could chance the links at the last minute.

Be Ready to Hotspot

Don’t underestimate how unusual a gig this is. There’s unprecedented interest in getting these Oasis tickets. It’s highly unlikely that the surge will cause internet outages, but if it does – do you know how to hotspot?

Get your phone connected to your laptop at least once so you can flip over quickly in case of emergency. This could help you get the jump on a lot of people should networks or providers go down. But again, this is a real edge case eventuality.

Make Sure You Have Money in your Account

What ever card you’re using to pay, make sure there’s money in the account. The good news is that for most, pay day will have landed by Saturday. But just make sure if you’ve set up Revolut as your default payment method because you want the payment protection, that the money is in the account. But also make sure to pay in full and not use Pay Later!

Get Help from a Friend

If there’s a friend going with you to Oasis, they should be in the trenches with you on Saturday morning trying to get tickets. Managing multiple devices is a nightmare and a recipe for disaster. Having an extra pair of hands and eyes will make everything much more manageable.

I’d also recommend that getting four tickets is better than none. Ticketmaster has generally made reselling tickets much easier. Rammstein famously took on scalpers in recent years, yet I could easily buy a ticket through Ticketmaster on resale a few months ago.

If you get four by accident, you will resell two without issue, I’m almost certain.

This is what gigs is all about people. The excitement of getting your tickets and making an evening with friends, watching Oasis rock Croke Park. I hope this guide helps you stay ahead of the masses. Even more so, I hope Liam and Noel stay friendly enough to actually make the stage in Dublin at all!
