Netflix Drops Trailer For Michael Schumacher Documentary

There are few bits of telly from my childhood that I can say really impacted me. Watching Michael Schumacher race in Formula One is definitely one of them. He was an icon for me growing up, despite my lack of desire to ever get into racing or anything. Beginning with a short stint at the Irish Jordan team, moving to Benetton and then Ferrari. Hearing of his retirement and return to Mercedes was an emotional rollercoaster, followed by the devastating news of his life-changing injury.

And then silence

Respectful and understandable silence. Not much has been heard from Michael or the wider Schumacher family, with the exception of his son Mick, of course, now racing in Formula One himself.

Until now.

Off the back of the success of Drive to Survive, the streaming giant has worked closely with Michael and his family to produce a documentary about his life and career. Today, the trailer for “Schumacher” landed and you can watch it here.

Schumacher begins streaming on Netflix on September 15th.
