Roaming Charges to be abolished in EU

When going on holidays, there is always the fear you’ll bring home either a nasty itch or a shocking mobile phone bill. Thankfully half of these problems will be abolished by a new EU initiative.

By mid-June 2017, new orders from the EU will have roaming charges curtailed across the European Union. While caps have been put in place in recent years and the cost of using your mobile reduced, these new initiatives will allow you to use your mobile phone while within the EU just as if you were at home.

So now that Instagram post of your snails in France won’t have to wait until you get back to the hotel, but it will have to wait until 2017.
