How to Play the “Parrot, Carrot”, “Say the Word on Beat” game

The timing of this new viral game is simply perfect. It’s right in time for families gathering around after Christmas dinner to laugh at each other and maybe even with each other. It’s free and easy to play, but far from simple.

What is the “Parrot, Carrot” “Word on Beat” Game?

I don’t even know what we should be calling this game or where it comes from. Ultimately, the idea of the game is that you have to say rhyming words into rhythm to a beat. An addictive beat that will absolutely get stuck in your head.

The rhyming words, music, rhythm and pace combine to make the game quite difficult.

There are countless new sources popping up, none of which seems to match original social media videos either. But the above example is really close to several of the funniest videos that I’ve seen.

I wouldn’t bet on that being the original account and there is no shortage of copycats popping up too. But sure, at the end of the day, the priority is that you have a few good sources to play the game with.

Another is a dedicated “word on beat” website which I’m almost certain has been hastily thrown together by an eager developer looking to capitalise on the trend – though the domain has been registered for some time to be fair.

Viral Word to Beat Game Trend

The beauty of this simple and available game is that everyone cal play it. And everyone can film people playing it. So naturally, it’s going viral with clips of people getting their tongues twisted.

Here are some of my favourite videos so far, but the trend is absolutely growing.

Damn, that song is such an earworm.
